Supplemental Course Academy provides school districts and other public schools an MFP allocation related to the cost of high school credit courses. It is
individualized to the needs of secondary students and is provided outside the traditional secondary school. Course Choice funded through the Supplemental
Course Allocation (SCA) provides courses not currently available to their students, including:
All registration for coursework in 2016-2017 will go through the school. If a parent or student seeks to enroll in a course, please contact your school directly
to speak with the person handling Course Choice Registration.
K-12 Course Provider Registration - Registration for coursework will take place at the school level and is only open to school representatives. A representative
from the school should follow the directions on the Registration Instructions document to register with various course providers. School representatives will be asked to input student
information in the Course Choice Registration portal by a TBD deadline. The deadline will be published in the News section and the LDOE newsletter.
Dual Enrollment Registration - Students seeking coursework for dual enrollment credit should register directly with the Louisiana post-secondary institution as
they have in the past. Dual enrollment registration will not take place in the Course Choice Registration portal.
Schools will register students directly with the Course Choice Provider by providing the Course Provider all of the needed information about the student in accordance with student privacy laws.
Schools will provide LDOE with enrollment data by September 12, 2016 for fall and full year courses. Enrollments can occur, at this time, for spring coursework however, there will be an additional
enrollment period for spring coursework starting November 30, 2016.
Students seeking dual enrollment coursework should register directly with the Louisiana post-secondary institution.
